Givin Ya Watcha Watcha Watcha Want!

The Beasties have been around. I swear I was listening to "No Sleep Till Brooklyn" when I was 6. 20 years later we are looking at an instrumental album called the Mix-Up dropping on June 26th. A bunch of tour dates for that europe trip. Just finished impressing the Sasquatches. And it looks like they are just giving away acappellas. So Mash-Up DJs your wet dream has been materialized.. 34 classic Beastie vocals.. It should get interesting.

Hyphy Clyde

Hyphy this, Hyphy that, it looks like it's more than riding the yellow bus. Meet Clyde Carson, his bubbling single "2 Step" is gaining that energy. Here's a look at a DVD clip of his track "Hood Stomp".
Would you kill these loose balls if they ever got on your car? Murder!!!

Various Reasons to Be Hot!

MIMS is all over the place touring on his bus. Touching Toronto last week he was able to stop by the Ampd Mobile Studios(Formerly Indian Motorcycle) @ King & Peter for a limited Studio Session where the young girls screamed so loud that's the only sound their camera phone recorded. He also was able to speak to some kids about overcoming obstacles in achieving their goals. Damn I was inspired and I'm mid-20s!

To leave with some visuals here's the T.I.W.I.H Remix featuring Sr. One Blood & Mr. Ghetto Story.

In hindsight, I think they should have got some dancing lessons from Rockers.

Rock Solid!

Things are starting to pick up for Mims, you know they're gona ride the T.I.W.I.H. train. We've heard a lot of rappers try to take it the rock route and usually hit the road block. I'm not mad at this one. Purple Popcorn is providing the noise for the remix. Check Out The Vid!

Born & Raised

Take this video from vet rap group Point Blank for their "Born & Raised in the Ghetto". It takes a really interesting look at government housing's development from the early 1950's. Little known fact, Regent Park's housing complexes were used as the standard for community housing across North America.
Voila:

Just got some amazing news. The team over at Half Life Records in Halifax are jumpin ship for 6 dates confirmed including SXSW in the same region. This should be a great year for these guys. I'm expecting a Juno for Classified. Not to mention the work being put in by The IV League, JC (the teacher), J-Bru & Mic B.

Here's the dates:
  • 3/11 - Kansas City MO
  • 3/13 - San Antonio TX - @ Kingston Tycoon Black
  • 3/14 - Austin TX (SXSW festival) @ Zero Degrees
  • 3/17 - Los Angeles CA
  • 3/21 - Sacramento CA
  • 3/22 - Salt Lake City UT

I'm sure they'll be feeling fine.
